biography
Jane Herman has been involved in textile arts for over thirty years. Drawn to ancient technologies, she began her fiber career as a spinner and hand-weaver. In 2000 she discovered felt and has devoted her time to felt-making ever since.
Jane lives in North Adams, Massachusetts. Here she is able to enjoy an active art community as well as the natural beauty of the northern Berkshire mountains.
Recently emerging from a two year "leave of absence" from intensive art-making, Jane and her studio are once again alive with ideas, energy, and projects. Please look around her website and see for yourself all that is happening here.
